Book Review: Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez

Rating: ...Literally good.

Summary:

Alexis Montgomery's life takes a dramatic turn thanks to Daniel Grant, a charming carpenter who's ten years younger and the complete opposite of her sophisticated city-girl persona. Though her wealthy parents expect her to follow in their footsteps as a world-renowned surgeon, Alexis is content being an ER doctor. As she spends more time with Daniel and his tight-knit small town, she discovers what truly matters. However, turning their fling into a serious relationship would mean abandoning her family's expectations and her potential to help thousands. Now, Alexis must navigate the challenging decision between her world and the happiness she's found with Daniel.

Magda's Thoughts:

I loved the premise of the book so much, especially the age difference between Alexis and Daniel, with Alexis being a bit older than him. Daniel seemed like such a genuinely nice guy from a small town, willing to accept whatever she was willing to give in their relationship. I loved that they were both successful in their own right and helped push each other. She needed to fight for herself against the control  her parents and ex-boyfriend had on her, and he needed to discover his talent and become a successful artist on his own. It was a nice journey of self-discovery for both of them, and Abby does such a wonderful job bringing the reader in. I can’t wait to continue this series.
